I'll take Canada, but I wouldn't could out Slovakia or especially Sweden.
Depending on how good the goaltending is for sweden. They have a very steller team with like 4 GOOD CAPTAINS!! Good offense, steller defense, and canada has a weaker defense this time, especially without rob blake |

thats all it comes down to. sweden has an all star top 6 forwards core, along with 3 solid lines of d including mattias ohlund and niklus lidstrom if they get the goaltending than their good, but canada has always h as the best 3 for goalies. |

Yea so do I.
i think more so than goaltending i think its gonna come down to the defense this time. In the olympics the play is more wide open thanx to the no red line rule, but for the world cup. its nhl rules, meaning tighters checking, so bad defense will lead to more scoring than bad goaltending. I think the goalies are all insane so yea i think its gonna be up to the D. Go canada but i think sweden has a very good chance too |

also don't forget sweden had beaten canada in the round robin for the olympics and if they hadn't lost to belarus which they shouldn't have they would been in the semi finals.
Oh yea almost all their pl ayers are NHL ALL STARS!! A few notables fosberg, naslund, lidstrom, alfredson, sundin, ohlund etc... they all know how to play on the small rinks |

I think they have alot of leadership on their team, but with the loss of forsberg they will have less leadership than team canada. i still think they are fairly matched. Canada has the extra edge to them, and are the favorites but i dunno i believe the team are pretty close in comparison. Parity has gotten bigger and bigger since the early 90's, and teams like the fins, czech, and sweden have gotten only better with time. |
