I'm going back for my second year in a program (the first 3 years after highschool was general studies).
My favorite class I'll be taking will probably be: Music and Programming My least favorite class: I'm guessing that it will be either Radio Sales or Feature Program Production. Yikes. I'm scared for my Feature course. |

I haven't been to school in 9 months cause I took last semester off to travel. This has been the longest break from school I've ever had in my life and I'm actually really looking forward to going back.
The first few weeks of school are always awesome, especially at UBC with all the beer gardens and concerts and such (I MET GIFT OF GAB AND CHIEF XCEL LAST YEAR AT THE WELCOME BACK BBQ!!!). But I know by about the second or third week when pre-midterms and papers are assigned I'm gonna wish I wasn't in school. I'm not really really looking forward to any classes this semester, but I'm damn excited about Family Studies 316: Human Sexuality that I'm taking next semester. |

yes I am going back and NO, I'm not looking forward to it.
I'll be in the hospital twice a week for 12 hours and 3 days a week, I'm pretty much in school 8:30-4:30. not to mention, I'll be working at least 14 hours a week. it is going to suck ass big time. oh the upside, the best class I'll probably be taking is my maternity clinical. hopefully I'll get to deliver a lot of babies :) --Joanne :P |

I'm really excited about starting the theatre program at Cap. I find whenever i'm studying or doing something theatre related I push myself as hard as I can and i'm always happy with the results in the end.
That being said I also have the highest expectations for myself because i'm pursuing what I love and I can't use the excuse that it has nothing to do with what I ultimately want to do. I'm so thrilled :D Looking forward to my acting class and elements of theatre sounds interesting. |

engl 464a 001. ;)
there are loads of interesting classes out there, i was rather disappointed when i didn't end up studying in australia this year because i wanted to take the "History of Nightlife" class at UNSW, which talks about the nightlife capitals of the world and the involvement of drugs and organized crime in building them. |

it's funny how people seem to think that partying and going to school are mutually exclusive, when really i've had the possibility of partying harder at ubc than ever before. true, most students don't do the club-hopping, afterhours, after-after party, drug fueled electronica binges that mark the ravey club scene, but most normal people don't either. :p i get awesome grades and still party more than is healthy - it's just about making choices - if you've got a midterm the next day, it may be best not to hit that kegger, but if it's just regular class...
