I refuse to wear clothes with brand-names/symbols emblazoned on them. I figure that if I'm going to advertise for a company, they're either going to bloody well pay me or at least give it to me for free. I refuse to pay to advertise for someone who's making money from it. That said, I'll buy shirts from various web sites I want to support or whatever, because then the advertising is helping someone who I care to help.

For those of you knocking the people who are interested in fashion, let me just say this. The way one dresses is a form of expression of their individuality. Whether they happen to like what is mainstream, or what is not, it still helps to define them as a person. Some people may care less, some people may care more, but the bottom line is that we all care about our appearance to an extent. Just because you don't happen to like what is "mainstream" doesn't mean that others shouldn't. If we all liked what you like, don't you think that would make things pretty damn boring?

I don't usually pay too much attention to brands, I just look for something that fits and looks good. Though i must admit i do love Kitchen Orange, not only do they make some funky clothing, but they're a Canadian company and it's good quality. That's something i'll spend the extra money for any day of the week.

Im an Ecko whore!
and no I dont wear it to be 'hip and or with it' I wear it because really, its not that expensive, lots of different styles/varities, comfortable as shit, and its stylish, visually appealing to me, so thats why I buy it. I also like Phat Farm and Nike... I've always liked Nike, once again, looks good and lasts a long time, and is very comfortable. |
