George Bush Sonnet
in grade 12 we had to write sonnets about something, so i chose to write mine about George Bush.
i was just cleaning out useless files off my computer and came across it, so i thought i'd share it. i tried to stick to the sonnet form as much as possible, but it's hard: The vote was close between him and another; They chose Bush who waved at Stevie Wonder. He’s not the brightest crayon in the box, And sounds more stupid every time he talks. Bush is just a stupid southern hick, A president whose ass I’d like to kick. His daughters like to go to clubs to booze; And wars their father doesn’t like to lose. He runs the country that they call the states And in turn controls many worldly fates. His ears stick out like those of elephants. To those from Texas I mean no offence, But Georgie Bush is stupid, that’s for sure; For problems in the world he has no cure. His speech writers must be quite a sight; Too bad he can’t pronounce the words they write. He is a man of action, not of words, His brain is on par with that of birds. But of George Bush I should say no more, Because, of course, the other choice was Gore. -jake garrett |
