If you're in Calgary, I recommend my good friend Nils, aka C60 (email: nils at c60 dot ca). He's been doing visuals for parties for probably six years now, and is very, very good at it. If you track down some visuals software and throw something together in a week, your visuals will look like you tracked down some software and threw something together in a week. If you want good visuals, they take a lot of time and effort - ask Grady or Crazy Dave, the amount of work those guys put into visuals is worthy of much respect. |

the easy way out: run the audio feed into your soundcard as line in... use the winamp linein plugin to detect the audio and run the Milkdrop visualization plugin for winamp on a big projection screen
couple more advanced programs for creating your own visuals: Pilgrim Arkaos VJ Resolume those would be a couple of the better ones |

oh god,,, don't use plug-ins or plug-in pre-sets that you have not edited or made your self... That's fucking lame... kinda like putting a mix CD on, and calling your self a DJ.
I have more respect of people that use Demo-tapes, or visual tapes,,, then win-amp VJ's |
