Best DJ i ever seen by a mile
OK I know most of you are not hip hop headz like myself but im gonna have to ramble on about this one DJ in particular.
DJ BABY YU from Toronto. He played Atlantis tonite (friday) and rocked the shit outta the place so bad. No one was even dancing..it was more of a concert where everyone just cheered & fist pumped every 30 seconds when he dropped another track. Instrumentals , Acapellas , Blends.... I dont think theres anyone out there that can take this guy when it comes down to that. On top of that...buddy uses a 3 turntable setup. I was impressed. I doubt anyone here got the chance to catch him last nite but if there are any let me know wut u think. Im gonna do everything in my power to bring him in. |

Vinyl is a pimp...Czech`s got skillz too. But im talkin Hip Hop DJ - i shoulda clarified that better.
It was my first time seein baby yu live. I was more impressed on how smooth he was ..and the fact he went 3 hrs straight. His mix CD has 45 tracks and its 60 minz. Im thinkin he dropped about 140 hip hop singlez from 11-2 ...gooood times for sure. Then again he was droppin my EXACT taste in hip hop, so that made it even better .. Im sure I`ll see other DJs in the future..but for now from wut i seen live, Baby Yu`z the man to see. |

kid koala is next level shit...the things he does with a sample are unreal.
i'd be interested in checking out baby yu sometime...but i'm not going to atlantis on a saturday without some homies, Adam you in? I dont see a lot of hip hop dj's that focus on smooth mixes that much anymore so that would be cool to hear. |

Adam, The executioners - thats a group i really want to see.. heard lots about them. Lots of ppl tell me thats the best DJ show out there. As for Koala , never heard much about him yet but i think Gman was sayin hes wanted to bring him in. I wouldnt mind seein him either.
Last nite he was droppin dancehall to start (what physik left him). Went into some eastcoast ..mobb deep, biggie, junior mafia etc. - did a quick westcoast 30 minz and dropped a shitload of snoop dogg/dre/dpg which i loved..came back w/ the new shit.. lean back remixes, headsprung, kanye etc. .. then he absolutely killed it w/ an old skool set droppin acapella verses into old ass beatz. One of them was Montell Jordan`s "This is how we do it" into Arrested Developments "Tennessee" beat. After that i was way to drunk to remember exact mixes.. but the ones that stuck out were: "This way" by kanye & dilated into "jesus walks" beat. Biggie "Dead wrong" cut into the "DAMN" YoungBloodz beat Damn Acapella gets blended to the "Explosive" dr dre beat. < - that one set the place on fire. Akeel , i know wut u mean about smooth mixes..its almost rare now... the 3 decks is sweet..allows him to drop shit every 10 seconds. I never been to ATL on a sat nite.. Friday nite its the spot. As for baby yu comin back , ask gman. But u never know u mite juss see him in room 3 @ spooky :028: |

didn't jazzy jeff do a show using 4 decks a while ago???
I highly doubt this guy has anything on the likes of z-trip who is probably one of the best hip hop dj's around. And don't even get me started on the executioners, roc raida alone would blow this guy out of the club. |
