what does the holiday season do to you?
how do u feel around this time of year?
what kinda mood do all the festivities, celebrations, songs, etc. put you in? this is the worst time of year for depression, a lot of people go overboard. some things are really hard to cope with. it just seems like a time of year when all the bad memories of your past are laid infront of you... and then again, there's still a lot of people who can't get enough of that HOLLY-JOLLY-CHRISTMAS spirit... ehh... just wanna know how christmas affects you guys ?

I'm one those ppl who gets depressed during the holiday season. Well.. more depressed then usual. I hate it.
I don't l ike christmas.. The only good thing about it is the fact that I get a 3 week break from school where I can just hibernate. But really, christmas just bugs me. I don't even see the point to it? Ppl get all stressed out aboot stupid things and it's just dumb! I dunno.. Maybe it has some meaning if your religious or osmething.. but I 'm not. So to me it's just another hallmark holiday that brings bad feelings, and which also gives me a break from school for some hibernation...

i find christmas a really stressful time and usually can't wait til its over..cuz a lot usually happens during christmas so stuff piles up...christmas shopping is usually so hectic..
rite now..i'm too busy..at least i feel busy or that there's no time..i luv christmas break tho..getting away from skool is awesome..altho i'm rethinking that this year..and yeah..lotsa people around me are just in a better mood just thinking abotu christmas which puts me in a good mood..which is good..=)

Personally, I love Christmas and the whole holiday season....the only part that truly saddens or depresses me is how commercialized the season has become. I think it should be a time of love and giving.
But as for how it affects other people....goddamn, it makes the world go KRAZY! Geez, ya don't work at the Santa set (photos) for 3 years, with security guards monitoring your safety, and in retail, without realizing how insensitive and crude people get around this time of year. I don't know why. Smile! And if you're having a hard time coping with the hecticness of the season, realize that other people are going through the same thing too. =) *Jen*

We have a big familiy about 11 members...So when it comes to the Holiday Season things get crazy and hectic...But it's nice having everyone get together and have a nice dinner and what not...But personally it's not like it used to be...I mean as a kid I would get so much stuff and be spoiled...But not that I'm older and stuff meh...Things don't come as easily...*sigh* Boooo...!! :(

I love Christmas... I'm not particularly close with my family.. but just the whole idea that people are celebrating this time of giving and sharing.. blah, blah, blah... and hearing all this christmas music really makes me happy.
I tend to get fatter in the winter... guess that's the only downside.. :P but I love the time off of school and everything. any kind of holiday or vacation is good :) --Joanne :P

I used to LOOOOOVE Christmas, but since my dad passed away two years ago right before Christmas, it makes this time of the year somewhat difficult.
But I like the spirit of Christmas. I love to spoil my loved ones with all sorts of gifts...It's too bad I never plan ahead to save up enough money so 1/2 the people get their pressies AFTER Christmas. But it's all good :D:

I used to LOVE Christmas, but in the past couple of years, I'm a little more indifferent. I mean, I still like it and all, I just don't get as excited as I used to cuz I'm always so busy. Unfortunately since I work full time, no automatic 3 week holiday for me :(. I'm not particularly close with my extended family, so getting together with them is no big thrill for me. And presents, well, I never really want anything that I can't buy for myself, so it's hard for people to shop for me.
I still like the lights and decorations and TV specials and all that though... and you can't go wrong with shortbread cookies and egg nog! *demented hugz* ~ Trinity ~

i used to love xmas... tons of presents, every toy was cool, there was no school, got to be around family and stuff...
but now its different. now that we're (for the most part) grown up, its more stressful and complicated (i'm starting to know what parents felt like) -hehe my dad says "i'll drink to that" hehe. but its real stressful when you got presents to buy and no money to buy em with. but once it's over, and you got everything over with, it seems like you just fought a war or something... :184:

In general i love christmas, the trees, the lights, the dercorations, the food, the presents....its such a nice time, but my family is usually feuding which sux and at Crappy tires i have to stay after closing for like 2 hours every time!! and aisles 35 and 36(where they keep the x-mas lights) make me cry everytime I walk down there...
plus everything always seems so hectic and stuff...like all crazy.... :p

To me, The holidays mean decorating the christmas tree all cheezy,full-house,family-like and then having my perfectionist sister come and re-do the whole thing, because me and my mum "just threw the tinsil and garland all over the place." ahaha
Then later on, around the x-mas weekend, everyone goes to church in my family, except my sister and I. After all that, I go to my dad's side of the family (my nana's house) and watch while my horribly tacky aunt gets pissed drunk, and her awful fake eyelashes hang off of her real ones.-She offers me some "Sherry" and I accept, and later we all end up getting a little "tipsy" Christmas morning comes, and its not snowing, but there's still presents to give and take.etc.etc. AAAAand then I get to go to yet another disfunctional family dinner, at my uncles house (on mom's side of the family) and don't even get me started on that one...... :301:
