Yeah, it'd probably go well again, but there's always room to make things better. Everyone has their own preferences so there'd be no pleasing all anyway. A 'non-non' as I call it.

Attila decided to invest his money in real estate. He also has a real job, with time restrictions making it tough to throw parties. ALlje and I lost alot of $ on outbound flight due to our venue being shut down by the police before we could hold the party and having to scramble for a new and much more expensive venue. Gary (Photonic) is the only one left with any $, so we will have to see. volve still exists as a loose association of young djs who like all styles, but trance in particular.
We still hang out and party together, but everyone is moving in dif. directions. Detn8r was luck enough to get booked by twisted, Richard has his own company now and also works on Highborn's exhibition Saturdays at BLOX WHERE I WILL BE PLAYING WITH VLADO< MIRKA< RICHARD< HARP & KAMAL _SAT 18th FREE COVER B4 11pm (ha, I plug myself). Luna and I are drifting in the wind, Neil is working for twisted as a flyerer, Bozga is with Revolution in addition to us, Kelly klockwise and D2J have their own mixology productions. DSL dude is also out there supporting, working on some technology coolness. |

Could maybe benefit from some breaks and jungle, but imho that's the stuff that goes in the second room. Junglists don't tend to share dancefloors with trancers very well. :) |

Yeah. It's too bad. I've had some pretty big set-backs (financially) recently too. I'll be paying for them for the next year or so. Life goes on.

The reason so many of us old ravers end up going to places like Sonar or Lotus is because of the variety of styles we tend to get on a weekly basis; there's a level of unpredictability, further heightened due to the allowance of at least one form of substance (though usually with plenty more around) to get off our tits on. I honestly haven't been to an unpredictable rave in three and a half years, and none here in the Lower Mainland, whereas 4/5 times out at the Sonar, Lotus, or Shine have ended up with something exciting and wonderfully hedonistic. Go figure. Last edited by Sykonee; Sep 11, 04 at 12:33 AM. |
