My neck is fucked, my car is TOTALLED...

..and that old guy is gonna have to pay up!

So I am driving down 152nd north bound and am about to cross the 64rth Ave intersection...my light is a steady green..it has been green for at least 5 or 6 seconds...the intersection is clear..east and west (64 Ave) traffic is at full stop....I casually roll over the white lines..when this municipality worker drives his work van through his steady red light east bound and causes me to slam on my brakes...skidding me t-bone style into his van...I get major whiplash and my neck hurts...ambulance rushes, I get put on a stretcher..have a neck brace put around my neck (duh), and get sent to the hospital. The driver of the van claims his light was green..and that is why he drove through. I have two witnesses vouching on my behalf when I go to go to take care of this idiot of a driver. People who drive like dummies should have their licenses suspended for a long time...If i chose to speed yesterday, he could have hit me on the drivers side, and I could have been dead! This guy is facing a bigtime lawsuit...and for all of you who want to drive in a safe car, don't drive a neon, those cars suck! So, in the end...I will see this guy in court, and I will try to make spooky..which is at the plaza? :)

did anyone know that the same cheap type of metal used on a neon is the same used on Chryslers' PT CRUISER?? it is..so they are cheap too! Be carefull with neon, the only good things they are good for is low insurance and cheap on gas..that's bout it :(

Yah... DUH! PT Cruisers and Neons both lick my left nut. The only new Dodge product that's semi decent other than their outstanding Trucks is the SRT4. At least you got rid of the Neon, now you can buy something good.

heh heh heh it's ok Margie... as long as it gets you from Point A to Point B that's what matters. Yours can do that at the moment whilst mine is disabled. I'm just saying that reputation and safety-wise I personally wouldn't buy either vehicle.

Dude! Get an F-250 with the Powerstroke Diesel! It's alllll about the Turbo Diesels! Think fuel economy AND power! The Triton is nice, being I believe a 5.8L? But you'll have to spend either the same or more than I on Gas.

Yes, the Hemis are nice indeed... so are the Cummins Diesels too. I personally like the look of the new Dodges more. But it looks like he's looking for an older one, in which case I'd say get a Dakota R/T from like '99/'00

dude, anything above 5.0L engine and you are running on 20 miles to the gallon on that truck..that is not fuel efficient :(

I am looking for 2000 and newer..anything of 97 or 98 is not really considered old...they are still new looking trucks...and there is really not that much difference between 98 and lets say a 2001 truck (ex. in the f-150's or such)

Yah I know... my Mustang consumes more Alcohol Product in one day than I do in a Weekend! That's why Turbo Diesels are cool... and they sound great too.

Damn! A city worker eh? Looks like your going to be a bit richer coming soon to a wallet near you. Take my advice and buy a German Car, I know they're box-e but safe. Maybe a BMW with anti-lock brakes. Did your airbag blow? Haha
..Seriously, at least your OK and if your witnesses come through your laughing to Manhattan bank.

sue because he caused the accident, he caused my car to be totalled, he caused me lost wages through both landscaping and real estate, he caused me pain and suffering, he caused my medical bills, he could have killed me if he hit me instead...there is lot more to it than what I have just stated...so don't get your head somewhere it does not belong..if you were in my position you would know what you would be doing, and that is to make sure the person who put all this shit on you pays for his damages. Peace out Neoh, be glad I didn't die so I could terrify you in your dreams..because Halloween is around the corner...boooOoOooOOoOOooooh :(

That's what ICBC is for.

To cover your lost wages, to cover your car, to cover your "injuries", all medical bills. Wha the hell do you think you have insurance for? incase your car gets stolen?

I've been in your situation NUMEROUS times, i've been in 6 major car accidents (and none my fault)

You're going to pay a lawyer to sue a guy for hitting you, yet ICBC will still pay for everything? In fact, ICBC barely pays out for neck injuries, if at all because it's the #1 injury in a automotive accidents and easialy forged. So you go to a doctor who says "yeah, you pulled your neck muscle, it will be better in 4 days."

Big fucking deal. What's he going to possibly pay you for, that you arent getting reimbursed through your insurance?

There's nothing to fight in court, sure he hit you - like I said, that's what insurance is for. If your planning on sueing him because your neck hurts, then you will be paying more for lawyer fees then whats going to come out of it - because the court will probably throw it out because it's a TEMPORARY injury. If he broke your back (like I have) then you could sue him for millions.

If you sue him, you're an idiot looking for a cash grab. And your lawyer is going to laugh at you. And if I was the one that hit you, and you sued me, I'd laugh at you too.

I have no collision on my car insurance..so ICBC will not cover me for damages to my car
