I think you all need to read this
Chapter 1: Registration Statement This is one section you can’t miss when you first register I’ve made a few minor changes: Although the administrators and moderators of Form-Kaos.com will attempt to keep all objectionable messages off this forum, it is impossible for us to review all messages. All messages express the views of the author, and neither the owners of Form-Kaos.com or Jelsoft Enterprises Limited (developers of vBulletin) will be held responsible for the content of any message. By clicking the Agree button, you warrant that you will not post any messages that are obscene, vulgar, tasteless-sexually-orientated, hateful, threatening, or otherwise violative of any laws. The owners of Form-Kaos.com have the right to remove, edit, move or close any thread for any reason. Ok so what? We’ve all seen it. I’m writing this post to explain clearly what warrants a banning or suspension of your account. Chapter 2: Banning and post deletions Violating any of reasons below qualify you for a banning or suspension
* If a member violates any of these rules a poll will be set up and the majority will choose that members fate. I suggest all of you with opinions should vote. Chapter 2i: Posting without fear of being banned/suspended etc This board was created almost a year ago for the sake of sharing ideas, thoughts and information. At no point in time did I want to start a rivalry between other forum- based boards nor did I want to see members becoming upset with each other. I enjoy reading all sorts of posts and quite frankly I would like all of you to feel as if you’re respected and appreciated on here. As time goes on there will be arguments and heated discussions about certain things and between members. I guarantee that. It’s up to each of you to post your thoughts relating to that topic with intelligence. Some of you may want to be humorous, some of you may want to stand firm with your arguments but that is all an integral part of a forums board. It’s very hard for all of us to agree on any given issue and that’s what makes this board fun and interesting. Each of us possesses and opinion and each of us has that right to express it freely. As long as you don’t violate any of the above conditions you can be confident that you can go about your ways without being penalized. As for banning and suspensions no single user will be banned or suspended without a proper member vote. Now in extreme cases where an admin/mod has seen a new member violate any of the above conditions a poll will not be taken and that user will be banned permanently without trial. An example of this would be a new user posting vulgar or hateful content. Chapter 3: Troll accounts Although this bulletin contains ample methods of banning members it also contains a few loopholes as Nigel has stated. Certain anonymity proxy servers can alter an individual’s ip and this creates a loophole. Now even though this is a loophole ip’s can still be viewed by admin and will be identified as a proxy server. What does this mean? Well if you’re surfing f&k there’s no reason for you to go through an anonymity proxy server. Proxy ip’s set off alarm bells for admin and we realize one is concealing their ip for a reason. That reason is usually for trolling. Troll accounts are somewhat humorous and they have become a growing trend on public message boards. I personally do not have a problem with them as long as they follow the guidelines above. The moment they cross the line is the moment they may find their account suspended or banned. Trolls like to wander around public message boards stirring pots and making them boil and soon overflow. Many of them see the entire concept as a game. Now in order to play the game against some one, as in any sport, there has to be competition. That competition is administration and angry posters. Sometimes the trolls win and sometimes they lose. Final thoughts: This post was long overdue and I thought it was needed to settle the confusion that’s been circulating around this site and others. I hope many of you respect these rules in some sense or another and can go about your posting without fear of any intervention. If you have any questions or comments, please leave them below. Thanks for reading this. * I will be adding more to this post when I return from my evening adventure. ~fORM |
