Not enough Starbucks? Company wants 30,000 stores

To alleviate that problem, Starbucks plans to more than triple the number of its worldwide outlets to 30,000, with half of those in the United States. That's up from a previous goal of 25,000 stores worldwide, including 10,000 U.S. locations. The company also said it sees the potential to more than double its presence in Canada, which curently has 438 stores but could reach 1,000 locations. Read fulll artical.. |

My dad held the contract for their intial expansion in canada and my lord they came fast and furious. I think he was building 36 at the same time at one point in time. They have mad money and for some reason I heard there is more coffee shops in Van,Montreal and Seattle than the rest of north america. Now I don't know if this is true but it sure seems like it from my travels.

not everywhere in Canada has this massive starbucks domination....back east, it's all about the second cup!!!!
...but anywho, starbucks is a big fat, corporate, globalization-encouraging, third world exploiting, bunch of mofo's who don't need another 500 locations in Canada! *snapsnap* poor baby to those poor consumers who have to walk 2 blocks to get their starbucks, awwwww how sad, two blocks. |
