But I do my flyers in Illustrator. Then again, I do basic promotional flyers for my company, not neat rave flyers like you, sMyles ;p

Photoshop's kool n fun n all....it can be a pain in the ass to get tho for those with limited resources n whatnot but yeah i mainly do chop jobs and design tweaks in it. i also like the gimp which is open source, is hella powerful and is best of all real free and available! it's a lil more unstable in the windows environ than photoshop but.......the cost benifits are worth the learning/patience curve.
for fliers, if ya get an opportunity to get a viable copy of quarkXpress, it's lightning when you know what you're doing...i love it for flier production....it's just hell getting a copy:007:

I have been using Photoshop for a while, mainly to do digital art. I've been meaning to get Painter though and test it out.

I'm not crazy at photoshop, but i LOVE using it. I wanna get into flash, dreamweaver and microsoft excel also. That'd be pimping.

Photoshop 7.0/CS rocks

Photoshop is my life. and i love it

I believe the newest version of GIMP(linux; open source) has the exact same capabilites as Photoshop 7.0.. . it's just missing a few tools here and there. but hey. it's much cheaper than any adobe products *ahem*. . If you have the time, also try out Adobe illustrator CS and Adobe Indesign. <---which i think is a much more powerful tool than QuarkXpress. I use it all the time for invoices, corporate letter heads. . etc. . .Combine all those progs together and you'll be alll prep to do ANY designs. =)
