but anyways, teachers in highschool who would be nice and sorta like one of the students to a certain extent were the BEST teachers. All the kids respected them and loved having them as a teacher. you'll make a great teacher! |

the teacher i had for most of the subjects in grade 12 at delinquent school was only 25, fresh out of school. her thong stuck out when she bent over , you shoulda seen andrew (skitzo styles) his eyes would bug out when this would happen all day. i never met a teacher who bent over that much.
if you're young then be young, no sense trying to look the part. you have things about you that older teachers lack, such as the ability to actually relate to the kids. the teacher i just mentioned knew all about my weekends and what she called "extra curricular activitys" , which were even more eventful back then and it was good to have a teacher that could know those things cuz she landed up helping me change some of that for the better. she even drove me home once when she found me PISS drunk out my mind:P i say be yourself rhia, you have a lot to offer at your age |

Go watch "Dead Poet's Society".
There is plenty you can do to keep the kids on your side and keep a professional outlook with your co-workers. Well actually scratch that, Robin Williams character gets the shaft so maybe that isn't a wise course of action. Tell you what, just don't make fun of other teachers around them, hint at it at best if the said teacher is a real prude, and buy atleast 3 professional outfits. That and practice in the mirror saying "Excuse me" with a firm, yet unstressed manner. Out of curiosity, how'd you land the job as soon as you did? Were you a wiz in post secondary or is there some insider tips you got for getting into the education system? PS If they find out you go to parties, watch some degree of National Lampoons college flick variety for plumb lines, you will need all the charisma in the world to get out of that pickle. |

LOL Id never make fun of any teachers around them! Amazing thing is I barly got through highschool. I also took the first two years off, travled. Then came home and registered for this course in college at 20. Its more of a certificate program, just a lill short of credits for a diploma. However with all my previouse experince wtih day care/special needs since I was 12 and allmost sucssesfuly finish my program... one of my teacher's hired me less then a year in the program at 21 :D I doubt this is it though... more of a stepping stone as I hope to get a degree/ba and become a teacher/resource teacher/ot/music therapist or somthing more specialized with education and special needs. I think Ive got the wardrobe part figured out... I dont think I really get thought of a highschool student... but maybe more as someone who just started working and "must not have experince" so in a way alot of it seems to be mentle and how you carry your self. Its not really that im just young... but ive always looked much younger then my age. plumb lines? Last edited by Ree Fresh; Oct 21, 04 at 10:56 PM. |
