I'm a huge makeup fiend.
On average I spend probably $200-$300 per month on makeup. It makes for a great collection! I used to have about $3000 worth of makeup, but I threw some of it away (stuff I didn't use) so now it's sitting at about $2000ish. Sah-weet! |

nat: wow...that's crazy.
I'm a huge makeup nut, I enjoy treating myself to top of the line makeup lines but I've never felt the need to own that much stuff. I normally buy new makeup once every 1-2 months but just little essentials and let myself splurge on more expensive items every six months. |

I have always had more makeup than i know what to do with.
my mom used to be a cosmetician and she would bring home so much stuff all the time. most of it was brand new not on the market stuff yet. and in every possible shade. i probably have a whole drawer full of each type of make up item you could think off. whenever my friends would come over she'd bombard them "do you need any makeup?" and they'd leave with little goodie bags. the best part was when the reps would send her brand new colognes and perfumes. i bought my first perfume this summer because she couldnt get it for me. im such a brat. god its saved me alot because im such it would fit right in with my clothes/shoe buying problem. |

MAC and I have a love-hate relationship. Love the stuff, hate the lack-of-funds due to my makeup shopping addiction. I've been good lately. SO GOOD. Today I will go spend a bit. heh. Well, the reason I have sooooo much stuff is that my dad's ex-fiancee was the regional manager for Elizabeth Arden, and now she's the regional manager for Revlon. Free product = SWEET! |

my make collection consists of : powder, blush, mascara, eyeliner, eyebrow pencil.. and some eyeshadows...
nothing crazy at all... i dont usally wear make up.. but i have to for work... and i like to get all prettied up when i go out. theres no way i could own 2g's worth of makeup.. but to each their own.. id rather have 2000 in clothes!!!! |

I'm also an addict...
I went on my latest MAC spree last week and spent almost $300. That was done easily! If I'd spent more that the 45 minutes or so I was there, I could have done much worse damage. I go on "MAC Attacks" quite often... Pretty much each time I'm at the mall. It's like being in a candy store..! Except instead of sugar hangover, there's momentary shopper's remorse. But that always fades when you whip out all your new stuff and you look SO HOT. I can spend forever in a MAC store. Fresh shades, rows and rows of them - I love cracking open the boxes of my new purchases when I get home. Wow... I am such a makeup geek! :P

I do prefer quality... but make up prices are re-dick and I hate suporting that so I dont spen often or much.
Sadly I have a habit of looseing lip gloss =/ I tell my day care kids "your make up shouldnt look like you have make up on" Ironic yes... but I see it as only inhancing your look, not a new face. I like to keep make up very simpl and natural. Earth tone eye shadow, mascara, and eye liner if I have the time and really want to do it up. Lip gloss or chapstick but never any crazy lip colors that dont look normal. Last edited by Ree Fresh; Nov 04, 04 at 10:01 AM. |

im always really unsure about buying make up, cuz i really dont know what half the stuff is suppose to be used for, and its stupid to pay that much for something that doesn't work for me. i ALWAYS bring a girlfriend along to get suggestion and tips. ex. thanks veni for convincin me to get the mac brushes. and other girlfriend for showing me the wonders of bronzer. and i alwayss ask the pretty sales lady tons of questions (sadly the shoppers lady recognizes me cuz i bug her so much) but lately ive been tryin to natural up..for a while i felt like i was cakin it on, and wow makeup is horrible for your skin. i want to get the point where my skin is so nice that i dont need concealer/fix, and a lil mascara and gloss will be fine. one day!! and i do want to learn how to match pretty eyeshadow colors and application.
seriously.. girls who know how to put on makeup and know the tricks..you guys have a really special talent! Last edited by bebu*funfun; Nov 04, 04 at 02:57 PM. |

Bev, I'll give you a rockin' makeup lesson if you wish!
Your skin tone is so wicked in the first place that you're lucky you don't need foundation! When you've got the cash, let me know - we'll go on a spree and I'll teach you how to apply all the fun stuff afterwards! <3 |

Oh, and bronzer is a godsend :) PS: Sorry if this is all redundant and the lovely ladies at MAC already explained all that. The girls at RC location are fab! EDIT: ALSO, you should totally take Nat up on her offer, but incase you didn't know, MAC does makeup demos/makeovers that cost $40 per appointement, but its redeemable in product. So you pay your $40 for the appointement and get yerself all done up (with them actually showing you how to do all those cool tricks they do) and then you can get $40 worth of product - either stuff they used on you or other essentials. FYI. Last edited by veN; Nov 05, 04 at 03:29 AM. |
