Barnacle Survival
Small rock in torrid water
Strong against the sea The wind blows relentless and wet Screaming out your secrets There are no hands to hold Here you are alone Youve faced everything before Why should now be different? Steadfast and grounded Cold and calm Waiting patiently For the storm to break Or begin Isn’t that what life is? Beginnings and endings With no middles Just foreplay and the cigarette after Everything else is hazy The seagulls squawk And you yearn to understand them And wish to be like they are Free and light Blown happily By the cold gale that turns your ears blood red A language everyone speaks Has now become foreign And you want to be everything That comes to them so easily Knowing somehow this isn’t what you waited for The stench of the sea Burning your senses Tart and fishy Heavy yet dull Escaping isn’t a option anymore Trapped in a cage you built yourself But the walls of your foundation is crumbling Cracks emerge But you cant fall Because too many barnacles cling to you for survival Last edited by junglequeen; Nov 06, 04 at 06:35 AM. |

sheena i love you to bits and pieces(K)<3
never compromise what you beleive in just to please others. You are a beautiful individual, and please stay that way.I wouldnt change a single thing about you. You need to realize that you are one of a kind, and if people cant learn to accept and appreciate that...erase them from your life. Reading this was so refreshing,I thank you.:) Quote:
