another untitled piece.
Attention all actors
the film of our lives is a silent one. Black and white pictures in so many places those solemn faces wear their scars on their sleeves. Pain is only as strong as the cow skin over your shoulders or the pigment of your skin. home brewed animosity feels as real as nothing feels or so they say. Everyday actors playing sado masochist pseudo masochist who can tell? the secrets in the makeup. razor blade martyrs carving stigmatas. a stepping stone for evolution. or de-evolution? god was a shepherd, and you are his sheep, Hate, Love Black, White the eyes of the world are not color blind. - me |

Quote:
wear their scars on their sleeves." It's in reference to people who cut their wrists. Seeing as if you were to wear a long sleeved shirt, the sleeves come up to their wrists. As well, I guess a play on words, with "wear their hearts on their sleeves" or however it goes. Thanks to all who replied. On a side note, any suggestions for a title? |

nice, very nice. "in the makeup" sounds fitting i've written a free verse poem myself but you use bigger words, i'm not one with an extensive vocabulary but you do have a way to put the vision of your writing in my mind so easily

"Under Lights"
Your vision of people as actors...and you can see this. You have essentially brought light to the people on the stage. Being under light also is uncomfortable and puts people on edge. or you could call it.. "People on the stage" Most people who feel depressed enough to self mutilate know they are acting...because they obviously feel they can't make it by being themselves. They probably would refer to themselves as actors in life. |
