So I just found out that tomorrow my Dad is buying a new TV for our Living Room. Apparently it'll be LCD or Plasma!!! HDTV compliant nonetheless... SO STOKED! Halo 2 on big crystal clear goodness. AAAAAAND we're finally advancing into the age of Cable TV. I've NEVER had Cable TV. So this is pretty cool shit, I won't have to go watch my Shows elsewhere now. I'm going to try and convince him to get some Surround Sound too... I mean, you have all the goodies so why not right? All in time for Grey Cup. :kam:

Cable TV!!??? WTF!

The cable signal is unworthy of a good TV, in fact not even good enough for a $400 TV. I don't know about the current situation, but last time I checked, even if you had a digital cable set top box, many channels were still analog.

Tell dad to get an ExpressVu system. Do not get Starchoice. MUCH better than cable TV. The pay TV channels are DVD quality or very near. And they have a few HDTV channels, although you will need to spend extra for that.

my dad was never a big electronics guy untill a few years ago.
it started with the 57inch HD Toshiba. Then the surround sound. Then the Bell Express. And the best part, coming home and him saying "check out my new speakers". Dad, where'd you get those?
"Some guys Explorer outside of London Drugs".
Those things shake our whole house!!!
