Hey guys/gals.

Finally decided to go and get my tattoo I've wanted for a while, and just wondering since I've never been to a tattoo shop before and nor have I been with anyone who has, etc, just wondering what to look for, what to pay attention to, where should I go? Prices etc.

Any help is always appreciated.

your bone bibrates kinda more anoying the painful i thought
price all depends on the size and how long it takes details etc

my friend has 3 and got them all done at next...
i got mine at dutchmen
i hear mixed things about next but usually you can just walk in there or is it 1st on granville? or is that just piercing hmmmm

Yeah I've heard to go see the Dutchmen as well, but apparently you have to get an appointment and whatnot, and it will be like 2 weeks before I can get one.

I was thinking of a small place, my friend got one done at, in Port Moody called 'Sinister'. My buddy got his done there, likes it, was good quality and whanot.

This will be my first tattoo hehe, im a little nervous.

What should I look for when I enter the place, what kinds of questions should I ask, im more worried about getting HIV, or some disease then him screwing it up, heh.

make sure its clean
sterillized needles in sealed containers that once are opened cant be closed
talk to the tattoo artist himself see if your comfortable with him that helps to
and ask about cleaning tips after you get it done

Yeah my brohter in law told me to make sure its very clean and also visit the bathroom and wonder around to make sure it looks clean.

I've been told also to mingle/chat with the artist and get comfortable with him before he does it for you.

Sacred Heart just off Granville downtown is good. I got mine done their, they were very clean and professional.
