it's not a very good place man. they play good music, but it's not good. the floor is like always empty, the atmosphere is horrible.. and when ur drunk and u think ur in a movie, its suppose to be the time of your life... but it wasnt.. at all... everytime someone suggests to go there, i tell them to die and im busy.

Actually the standard is not too bad of a place, and fo ra suburban club it is heads above the rest. I think they have a few kinks that they need to work out but I am sure after they are done it should be A-ok. They have gutted the place so it is not very "barfly" looking at all. I believe there is only 3 bars, but 8 stations altogether is memory serves me correctly.
I think that for a suburban bar, it is good that they are trying to do something else instead of caving into the must-be-top-40-all-the-time mentality... We will see if it works though... I really hope it does. I have gone there a few times and had a quite enjoyable experience. I suggest checking it out a couple of times, cuz you cannot judge a bar after only 1 visit to get a real idea of what is cracking... - ë |

I went there the other weekend and it was ok, the place looked better than before. I thought it was just like the old barfly same atmosphere just not all the whores in stilletos, which to be honest is why i used to go there in the first place. just my opinion, and we know everybody has one

yeah I think that it is very open so it is hard to make the place look busy unless it is to the gills... Plus some people have started on the whole "ewww it is that raver music" trip cuz they didn't get to hear their favorite R&B I wanna love you down tune" so the standards work is cut out for them. If anything is different suburbia trips-out

^ no white shoes, no ball caps, no ripped/torn jeans, no hoodies - dress nice, basically
I'm not a huge fan, it's OK. And there are only 3 bars, with 8 stations. It takes FOREVER to get a drink when it's busy, but I've heard that lately it hasn't been busy at all. Drinks are a little bit more expensive than they should be at a club in the 'burbs, but it's 5 mins from my bf's bed, so I can say I'll be going there again in the future, I'm sure. My only beef is that they think they're playing "different" music by not playing Hip Hop & Top 40 club anthems, but they're just playing house and trance anthems! When I asked for some breaks, the DJ played "Sweet Dreams" breaks remix If they want a truly electronic experience, I suggest that they hire some of our talented fnk DJ friends to show them how it's done. |
