Why do you always catch me when I run at you?
Red Rover Red Rover Arms flailing Longing to bust through and be free on the other side You restrain me every time, And Im pouting because You said you wouldn’t play anymore When I run from you Like a child My body moving faster than my mind Every time I turn Something catches my eye to remind me of you And then you appear in front of me But your not panting Im trying to move on By moving out of your view Because you see through all my cover-up And the things I do to hurt you never work Because you forgive me without being asked Looking for a band-aid solution To escape what you mean to me All I want to do is start anew But your bridge is fire retardant And I know you will be there in my background forever Like a wall to lean on Or ram my head against And the memories wont fade Because wherever I go you are always there To tell me you don’t understand But you like me anyways <3
