Nothing suprises me anymore when it comes to American ignorance. I don't want to go so far as to say that I hate all Americans but what I do hate is the ones who have this superiority complex as Anne Coulter and Tucker Carlson seem to.
The biggest plight on the American people is their own egos and until they realize that the rest of the free world will continue to hate them. They're blinded by their own power. They're so blinded, in fact, they don't see that the rest of the world hates them.... they actually think their loved and praised....amazing.... |

Don't be fooled, in the first clip the fellow that interupts this blond bimbo mouthpiece from the nether regions of puppet hell states some fairly interesting statistics. The american and canadian economy are one and the same, as far as corporate entities are concerned, canada is more american, about 70% now or so.
I think it's really easy to see the underlying agenda in these clips, and are we as canadians willing to give up our sovereignty to go on the coat-tails of the american dream which still seems to breed a manifest destiny? I'm sure you'll all agree with a firm no. Well how about the global community? The rhetoric is defintely more appealing, but do you know what the implications are? Is that choice any better? |

no, just because our media is fucked and owned by fucking republicans DOES NOT mean that we agree or "think that too". thats BULLSHIT. if i thought the same as everything i heard on the news, i'd live in jesus land. wake up, realize that alot of hockey players from the states are all hick stylz, and they already live in jesus land, and that we do not concur with these fascist bullshit statements that were made by the most discredited news source in america, fox. And just because that dude, is the lead for CNN doesn't make him any less effected by the power of the hold the republicans have on the media and it's investors.

Anne Cloutier is the one of the dumbest pieces of shit that the american neo-cons have ever produced. Try reading some of her articles sometime... you can actually feel the brain cells dying in your head. She's like a blonde Rush Limbaugh
The really sad part a lot of people take her bullshit to heart. And people wonder how bush got re-elected... |

You know what drives me mad is that Canadians, in general, fear that the country will crumble without the US. Granted this may be true initially but there are many countries around the world that are not connected to another country and do well. Seriously just because trading with the US is the easiest way doesn't make it the best way. It will mean some hard work and actually doing some work when our polaticians are out on these foriegn affairs missions but other trade deals can be struck on the global market. The US knows that right now its kinda got Canada by the pervebial balls and the sad part is we aren't doing anything to change that. We are letting the US dictate to us how we should run our country or else! It's bullshit. This country needs to change the way it views its international politics and trade. Until Canada can stand alone on it's own two feet it'll never be a country that is given international respect. This country has extremly huge amounts of potential but it needs to be channeled in the right manner. Anyone in buisness nows that it's taking risks that builds your company. Hell it's purely a risk to start a company! Stop being so damn conservative and take a few risks! Educated ones but risks never the less. US still isn't buying our Cows. Fine lets shop them elsewhere and stop wasting time trying to please the US. When did the US become the boss and us the employee!

here's a few more quotable quotes from the shining intallect known as Anne Coulter, as you will see Canada isn't the only subject she's completely ignorant to:
"God gave us the earth. We have dominion over the plants, the animals, the trees. God said, 'Earth is yours. Take it. Rape it. It's yours.'"---Hannity & Colmes, 6/20/01 The "backbone of the Democratic Party" is a "typical fat, implacable welfare recipient"---syndicated column 10/29/99 To a disabled Vietnam vet: "People like you caused us to lose that war."---MSNBC "Women like Pamela Harriman and Patricia Duff are basically Anna Nicole Smith from the waist down. Let's just call it for what it is. They're whores."---Salon.com 11/16/00 On Princess Diana's death: "Her children knew she's sleeping with all these men. That just seems to me, it's the definition of 'not a good mother.' ... Is everyone just saying here that it's okay to ostentatiously have premarital sex in front of your children?"..."[Diana is] an ordinary and pathetic and confessional - I've never had bulimia! I've never had an affair! I've never had a divorce! So I don't think she's better than I am."---MSNBC 9/12/97 "I think [women] should be armed but should not [be allowed to] vote."---Politically Incorrect, 2/26/01 "If you don't hate Clinton and the people who labored to keep him in office, you don't love your country."---George, 7/99 "I think we had enough laws about the turn-of-the-century. We don't need any more." Asked how far back would she go to repeal laws, she replied, "Well, before the New Deal...[The Emancipation Proclamation] would be a good start."---Politically Incorrect 5/7/97 "If those kids had been carrying guns they would have gunned down this one [child] gunman. ... Don't pray. Learn to use guns."---Politically Incorrect, 12/18/97 "The presumption of innocence only means you don't go right to jail."---Hannity & Colmes 8/24/01 "I have to say I'm all for public flogging. One type of criminal that a public humiliation might work particularly well with are the juvenile delinquents, a lot of whom consider it a badge of honor to be sent to juvenile detention. And it might not be such a cool thing in the 'hood to be flogged publicly."---MSNBC 3/22/97 "Originally, I was the only female with long blonde hair. Now, they all have long blonde hair."---CapitolHillBlue.com 6/6/00 "I am emboldened by my looks to say things Republican men wouldn't."---TV Guide 8/97 "Let's say I go out every night, I meet a guy and have sex with him. Good for me. I'm not married."---Rivera Live 6/7/00 "Anorexics never have boyfriends. ... That's one way to know you don't have anorexia, if you have a boyfriend."---Politically Incorrect 7/21/97 "My libertarian friends are probably getting a little upset now but I think that's because they never appreciate the benefits of local fascism."---MSNBC 2/8/97 |

^have you read any of this woman's so-called 'journalism'? rest assured, there were not any positive remarks cut from that broadcast!
ed- i do see your point though - hopefully Canadians who see this shit will take it as a representation of ANNE COULTER's opinions, not all of America's. Last edited by Wood; Dec 07, 04 at 05:28 PM. |

You know, we all gotta give our government a little more credit. They know what the americans are just as well as we do. Remember, OUR politicians have been in the game for much longer than any one of us fnk'ers. The Canadian government's job is to think about this kinda shit.
Here's why I think Americans are so 'dumb' now. You know how in a Canadian highschool program, you learn about american history? Well, they probably do too. Including black history, spanish history, etc. Like... in depth American history. Then they do the long and short of Canadian history for like 1/30th of the time. And all of that is loaded with stuff that probably explain Canada as the 'Great North'. And us on the other hand have a great education system because we get the best of both worlds (Canadian AND American History). We LIVE in Canada, of COURSE we know more about us. Canada has made it's major boom in economical growth within the past.. 25 years? i dunno. Their books are probably outdated. or SOMETHING. I think the whole Jesus Land thing is beautiful. Because it's so true. I bet Bush got a headstart in votes because he's a proud christian. Christian families grow up on stories and family values. That's not a bad thing. They want a Christian as their leader so they can be more proud and more confident with his decision. But if their education of modern day Canada is limited to CNN and FOX news, (your so called 'corporation controlled station') than we have a great problem. Because they are still also the leading television stations in the world. BTW, we can't cut off resources from them either. Too many Canadian families depend on American dollars to put food on their tables. And we've seen what Americans do when they need a resource (like oil) TOO MANY times in the past for us to be pig headed and try to play a game of keep away. That dumb blonde had a point about America's whole nuclear shield thing. Don't let her dazzling stupidity blind you from their capabilities as a military power. It's true that a lot of them will believe that crap. But she sounded so convinced that others probably didn't know any different until that chick stood up and said so anyways! We need shit like the Olympics to give a lot of the world a GREAT new second impression. And it would be GREAT to see Canada win Gold in Vancouver. ... oh my god. I miss hockey so much. |

I think the only solution to American ignorance is for people from our generation to start writing and publishing more shit in American media. Or even use some of our Education Tax towards Canadian authors so we can have more pro-Canada literature in American classrooms. It could even be a worldwide thing. Every country puts in a couple million a year (depending on the size of the country and population) towards a creating updated books, and ensuring everything is very up to date.
The problem with writing history is that when an event happens (let's use 09/11 as an example) it takes time for us to see the effects that the event had on the world. It may takes years for us to even understand the change that's happening to ourselves. Unless newspapers have headlines that say shit like 'WORLD WAR' people may not ever realize the vastness of the fight until much later. We need a different approach to upgrading our education. It's GREAT now, but it could be more effective. That's the solution for the long run for sure. |
