Mall Hours during the Holidays

I work in Mall and this year they decide to open On New years Day..But thankfully my manager gave me the weekend off ( 31st-2nd )

But do u think its fair that others have to work on New years Day?

Also the malls are considering being open on Christmas Day next year..Is that fair?

What are your guys opinions on this?

I personally would not wanna work both days..

Nope.
As far as I am concerned, they should be closed on Christmas AND New Year's Day. It's RIDICULOUS!

Soooooooo glad I don't work in the mall anymore!
Btw...OTW must be REDICK right now, eh? How was the xmas party?

hahah r u kidding OTW is not BUSY at all!!!! Were doing good..but compared to last year..were not even close to being that busy

haha OMg it was Jim's last year with the company..chris pretty much took over.. our X-mas gift was a ikea blanket with otw on it lol..
last year we got robes with OTW Staff on it!

Ohh but this year i got Part time employee of the year! :) haha!

hey whatever makes the mall money I feel sorry for the ppl they make work that and if I were them I would bitch and fight so hard to get the day off.

I think that all malls and major shops should be closed on Sundays all year round! It used to be this way and we as a culture where a much more sociable society. And yes malls should be closed on christmas day for sure.

Yeah, last year I got my robe and also a Paul Frank hoodie...the year before I got a pair of jeans, a Mavi t-shirt and a bottle of J.Lo Glow (ew but still)... and the year before that I got a jean jacket and a t-shirt!! They really cheaped out this year, and it's not even like they have to BUY that stuff, the suppliers give it to them for free!

Congrats on your award :P They RARELY go to the people who actually deserve them! I won f/t employee of the year last year, I was totally shocked cuz I thought it would go to someone who didn't do SHIT, haha, too bad I quit two months later!
