Mini High School Reunions
So I went to the pub the other night to visit with an old friend who's back for the holidays (she's been living in Scotland for the last couple years) and there were SO many people from high school that came out bc they're all home for the holidays. It was so much fun! I got to catch up with everyone and hear about their interesting new lives, and my friend who was drunk on the gin ran around telling everyone how great I was doing and about my nice car so I didn't even hafta brag for myself LOL. It was really cool that everyone made an effort to come out bc some people I haven't seen since grad, and they were all people that I was interested in seeing again. Funtimes for sure :)

Crazy... Ever since grad I like avoided most the ppl I went to school with. Mostly because I have like nothing in common and seems cus there finaly grown up they know how to be freindly...
ANYWAYS I do run into them once in awhile and we keep trying to organize something together. But im soo out of their loop and local area that it hasnt worked out yet :/ But yeah sometimes I find its like a brag fest or poove how successfull you are. Or maybe I just feel that way as I was known to "rave" and do "rave drugs" LOL Last edited by Ree Fresh; Dec 25, 04 at 12:33 AM. |

if i see a group of people from highschool somewhere i dont avoid them..
i just dont go out of my way to say unless they meant something to me back then. its sometimes nice to catch up...but it gets to be about bragging... and do i really want to know about these people's lives if i was never involved with them in the 5 years i knew them before?! |

Well I wouldnt say actualy avoiding... more like "hmm do I try to say hi? I think its them? hmm should I? Man they were such a bich to me in school why woudl I?"
Funny thing is even some of the more snobby ppl in highschool can totaly change and really go out of their way to say hi. |

Rhia and Krista: It was a nice informal reunion of sorts... Not much bragging or anything like that. Not *that* much has hanged with people yet, we're still 22. Just a bunch of people who were nice enough in high school and have humbled into their own persons now that they are out doing their own thing. It was nice :) But I agree that formaly organized reunions (the 10 and 25 year ones) usually have the ability to turn into a chest beating contest when people get older and are wanting to appear successful. I guess that's still to come. *shrugs* |

at the bar i work at...all my highschool used to hang out there.
they dont anymore thank god. at least while theres no hockey (please come back) and it always reminded me why I stopped hanging out with them. I've always got along with the guys. and a few girls really well. But for the most part...dont even care about 85% of my grad glass. |
