if you read the article it mentions that there actually are no moving pieces in the device except for the ammunition which gets fired.

i think its total breakthrough technology and i can see it being applied/modified for other uses in the future.

no where in the article does it sy multiple barrells, tho i would asume that "electronic ballistics technology" would be railgun technology (magnetics) which while having no moving parts, still over heats due to the massive electric charge in the gun. not to mention, that railguns take far too much power to be effective. or how about a million rounds per minute? how much psace would the ammuntion alone take up. sorry, but i have my doubts.

or not. yes it can fire bullets (or whatver projectile it was firing) at a fast rate, but int that video it only fired for what? .0001 of a second. it looked like one burst (36 shells) i still think that the weapon is incapable of firing for any length of time. physics works against things like that. the friction of the bullets firing in the weapon itself as they travel outwards would melt the metal.
