Be careful to choose a new track selection in order to have anyone at all there for your set :)

Unlike pretty much every other dj out there.. i dont care if the people dance or not. I got booked for trance at apex, 20 minutes of the hour and a half set i had at apex was trance. The rest was Banging techno and acid techno. People danced, i danced.. It was good times.. Then I threw on Sandstorm and the hamster dance because I knew no one else would throw something down.
People on msg boards I sign up on pm me saying "hey, were you the ppcock that threw down the hamster dance at apex?"
People who i've never met, never talked to remembering a no name dj throwing down a cheesey track at a massive party. That probably doesnt mean dick to you but it means the world to me.
And even in vancouver parties.. People recognize me and say. "Were you the guy that played the hamster dance at apex?" people who i've never met.
So it appears I made people laugh when i played at apex.. I'd rather make them laugh and leave that image in their head when the hamster dance was played at a massive party. Because i know dj's around here (and probably around the world) would never play that record at a party. I bring my weirdness on the decks just like I do off the decks.
But thanks for your input, i dont care for it. I'll never come up to you after my set and ask "how did I do?" cause i know you dont know shit about music, you're just here because the only people who will accept you are ravers and its just a matter of time till those people flock to something else and leave the rave scene behind them.
