at the fraser valley skydivin place we get them checked by a professional rigger every few months in which it is examined inch by inch to make sure there are no rips or anything, then each line is tested(each line can hold up to 800 lbs) & then they are profecionally packed. after each use they are packed by sumone whom has been trained, and there is an automatic activation divice, therefor of for sum reason your parachute does not open a seond one will deploy...very safe, basically the only way you can get hurt is if you yourself fuck up.... |

i'm not talking fear of heights like, "ooohhh i can't climb that ladder! i'll get dizzey" fear of heights, i'm talking "omfg! it's a spider! somebody kill it!" fear of heights. edit-haha i should've read more than the first couple of words. |

very very safe, i was watchin a little special on skydiving on the Discovery Channel (cause that channel rocks) and they showed a little on how they were packed. i wouldn't trust myself packing it cause there are so many folds and has to be all neat. when i travel i pack my suitcase and it normally looks like i just came back from a trip. that skyboarding looks pretty fun too=)
