i wanna make my own sushi

so i'm going on a fishing trip soon and i was wondering if it's safe to just catch a wild salmon, gut it, and then eat it raw sashimi style?

your thoughts.

They put their salmon in a freezer for a while before defrosting and serving it don't they. To kill germs like salmonella (haha).

Yeah, salmon has parasites that if you don't either cook it or freeze it, they'll make yer stomach unhappy. Make sure it's frozen all the way through before you thaw it.

Tip: Put the seaweed on a damp cutting board to soften it. And smooth the rice a cm thick(or less even) over the seaweed taking up two thirds of the sheet, that makes a nice bite size rol. Sushi only likes sushi type soya sauce or else it tastes rough and not sweet .

are these parasites just in the outter fatty area or what?

No the whole thing, plus your body isn't adjusted to eating raw meats. You'll get sick, no mater what.

Even after freezing, salmon continually contains parasites and bacteria, its wierd because Tuna does not have this problem. Salmon can give you worms if you do not treat it properly. And a neat little fact, Wassabi actually lowers the parasite bacteria in your stomach to avoid getting sick.

Because cultures of bacteria and parasites can lay dormant/inactive.
