I don't have an N... but I think that the laws on that are fukking RETARDED, all this noise about safety I think is kinda out there as there is not allowed to be carpools if you have an N... K so let me get this straight no carpools so instead of having 1 new driver with a bunch of people you have say 5 new drivers on the road since they all have to take a freaking car?? STELLAR!
Plus on a different scale that is prejudice to age, granted there are stats that say most accidents involve a young person BUT there are alot caused by the elderly as well... so I think they should get the same treatment as the young and toss a big assed "O" on their car. Plus the points deal is screwy as well... N can only get X amount of tickets where as I can get whatever amount I can pay for? Dumb. - ë |

when this kid tried to steal my car he left his finger prints on the hood and the spoiler on the back. must of been trying to push start the car(5 spd) and they opened the hood to cut my alarm speaker wire. anyways they didn't get to far and my dad came home and they booked it into some other car and took off.
anyways a year later i go to court because the police have tracked down this kid who has a file for being caught in a stolen car twice and once for having stealing tools on him. when i go to court, my dad is asked if he would be able to point out the person he saw sitting in my car in the court room. my dad said yes he could and he pointed at the defendant. the defense lawyer made a remark about the fact that there is only really one other kid in the court room so my dad just pointed to him because there was no one else to point too. but the part that blew me away was the fact that the case was thrown out because the finger prints were found on the outside of the vehicle and not inside so there was no actually proof that the kid was ever inside my car except of my dad saying he saw him in it but then thats not actual proof. then the defense lawyer said that they must of been driving by and saw my car AFTER someone else had attempted to steal it and this young guys finger prints got on the car because him and his friends stop to check it out and were leaning against it. and apparently after that they just went on with their business. i really dont understand why they dismissed the trial because the kid did have a record that showed he had been previously involved in car theft activity. so in the end i didn't get my 300 bucks back and the kid walked out of there with a big grin on his face. stoopid! |

after observing court procedures 2day i have major doubts bout the drive if not the competence of the crown prosecutors. not only do they seem yng & inexperienced but also give off the impression of being lenient at best & colludin at worst. ie way 2 chummy w/ the defense counsel during breaks.
sigh....... just depressed bout the sad statues our criminal justice system rightnow; feel sorry for those who have to deal w/ it everyday..... guess no wonder so many in the field seems disillusioned if not apathetic |

I've sat in on lots of court sessions before.
you know, in a way it can be a totally interesting way to pass the time. Though most of the time, court can be very boring. In a way, I'd think it would be really interesting to see a trial for a serial killer, I'm not sick and twisted, but their whole psychology and methodology as sick and twisted as it is can be pretty interesting. oh, and I had to testify as a witness in court once because I saw this poor girl get hit by a car and the girl who hit her (TALKING ON A CELLPHONE WHILE DRIVING MIGHT I ADD) had the nerve to try to dispute her ticket for 'failing to yield to a pedestrian'? Hi, you hit her, she flipped to the roof of your car before falling to the ground and seriously damaging her back (probably for the rest of her life), how could you see that as possibly you 'yielding' to the pedestrians. She didn't even hire a lawyer and tried to defend herself and instead of asking me questions during her cross examination she argued with my witness statement, it was so insane, even the judge and prosecutor thought so. She didn't even bother to read and research the motor vehicle act she was disputing. Kinda pissed me off. I was the one to see it all happen in front of me and was the first one on the scene giving first aid to the poor girl, it was really upsetting :( The plus of that day is that the cops actually showed up to court to testify too, and they bought me starbucks! |
