this works off the regular phones in your house. Same quality. Only difference is. Instead of them all connecting to a box in the basement and eventualy 1 wite leaving the house... the all connect to a special router you buy for $100 (or $4/mo).

Maybe this type of thing will become really cheap when other similar companies start doing it. Right now I'm paying including taxes & fees: $28 Telus phone $38 Telus cell $44 Shaw cable internet $40 ExpressVu TV ------------------ $150 total per month! Or almost 2 grand a year :( |

well right now its $40/mo. Its a "new" technology available to the commercial market. There's also a program you can download to call people's phones from your computer called Skype. But the option to call people's phones with Skype costs $10/mo I believe. I just can't wait till voice over IP gets introduced to cell phones.
