Oh ya. Should have posted that. I'm with Primus now

You need Cable or DSL internet to use it. It's voice over IP.

How is the sound quality, any delays or glitches when you're talking to someone?

I have a normal phone on Telux & a Telus cell plan that is ending, don't use either very much, was gonna cancel both and get a Fido cell with unlimited incoming calls.

this works off the regular phones in your house. Same quality. Only difference is. Instead of them all connecting to a box in the basement and eventualy 1 wite leaving the house... the all connect to a special router you buy for $100 (or $4/mo).

Cool.

Maybe this type of thing will become really cheap when other similar companies start doing it.

Right now I'm paying including taxes & fees:

$28 Telus phone
$38 Telus cell
$44 Shaw cable internet
$40 ExpressVu TV
------------------
$150 total per month! Or almost 2 grand a year :(

well right now its $40/mo. Its a "new" technology available to the commercial market. There's also a program you can download to call people's phones from your computer called Skype. But the option to call people's phones with Skype costs $10/mo I believe. I just can't wait till voice over IP gets introduced to cell phones.

Oh I know. Most of my friends live in Ottawa or Montreal. The cool with with Primus is you can pick a number from any Canadian area code.
