I have a bunch of stuff at home about Spetznaz Training. They carry their Shovels not for digging, but you guessed it... Killing. They have to learn to throw it too! Imagine that... Nothing like a Shovel stuck in your face to slow you down.

this reminds me of the story my boyfriend told me of himself and his bestfriend being pulled over for going 140 in a 40 zone (at the airport) by the Italian military police.
just as my boyfriend tells his bestfriend to slow down because its the airport his friend replies "it's europe jure, EVERYONE speeds"
and
BAM
military police step out onto the road waving machine guns.....

oh and then there was the dry cleaning.....

i want to go to italy with them next time they go for the Cannes Film Festival

anyways bac 2 the rank of spetsnaz think they r recruited from conscripts and most only serve 3-4 yrs in the service. as much as respect as i have for them; think the generally older professional special forces in the west is better suited for more roles.
