contact lenses

so two days ago, I woke up from a nap and took out my contacts and they both riped (they were old)

anyway, what I want to know is.

What type (brand) of contacts do you wear?
Where do you get them?
and how much do they cost?

thanks for the info.

it's glasses days for the next little while

Go to Skylight Optical on Robson and ask for Angus or Sean.

Tell them I sent you and they'll work out a cash deal for you.

I pay $100 for 4 boxes of Acuvue disposables.

the place where I got mine is no longer close to me and I don't want to drive there anymore. they were 30$/box(biweekly) and they were either acuvue or some other one that I always forget the name. so the last time I got contacts I went to this place close to me and she gave me this weird type that I didn't like, they were very thin. they ended up being 35$/box for monthlys.

anyway I'm finally out of those shit contacts and want new ones.

I like the biweekly ones. I wear them for a month each so it's like 60bux for 6 months.

i just got started wearing contacts and i think the eye dr. gave me some Acuvue (not sure if that's them or not). they are quite comfurtable, barely know that they are in. i'm using the 2 week disposal ones. from the sounds of the prices that you are all paying i think i'm getting ripped off big time. not sure if this is right but i think they cost like $180/year, so i'm going to go double check on the price to make sure i'm not getting jacked on the price

They don't care as long as you buy 4 boxes at a time. They should give you 2 boxes of each perscription.

make sure you don't loose track of which one goes in which eye. oh! hahaha and make sure they aren't inside out, cause that's a pain when you actually get them in (inside out) and then you have to take them out. dropping them is also a good way to waste like 10 mins trying to find them. still checkin on the price.

I wear the Night and Day contacts. You can leave em on the entire time for a whole month. It's great! They're thinner than normal lenses so your eyes can breathe more. It's different per person though, some people can't leave them on overnight, some can't leave them on for the whole month. I tend to just use them like normal lenses. I just can't go back to normal lenses now because they feel too thick for my eyes.

night & days.. fucking expensive!
maybe its just where i'm gettin them.
for each pair you're only supposed to wear them for a month, but for the amount i'm paying i usually wear them until i can tell they're on their last legs.

overall comfort very good, even when i doze off in them. i've never slept with them on even though i can.. i just dont like doing that.

yeah that seems like a lot of money..

and it's not that much of a hassle to just take them out every night and put them in every morning if it will save you over 100$
