In my boredom I've been pondering avatars while I browse fnk... (Yeah, I think about weird things!)

What makes someone choose an avatar to represent them? I don't need to officially poll the matter, but I've kinda got it down to:

*You came across it and you just thought it looked cool
*It's a pic of you that you like/feel comfortable displaying
*It has some kinda of personal significance to you

So... What's your deal???

I have usually have Britney avatars, bc I think she is hella sexy. I usually hide behind celeb avatars bc I don't often have good pics of myself that are small in size. I also feel weird sometimes about having my pic as an avatar. I'm less anonymous that way. This Britney avatar says "The Driver" (I found it that way), which suits me bc I prefer to rock sober styles and be the DD :y:

it's actually a show i love. my pic is usually something i stumble upon or a random recent pic of myself. same for msn...but those are much more random.

Mine captures a moment in time when I was completely happy, goofy and free. It was taken at the first Shambhala I attended. I will never forget that day, or the way Mr.Dave giggled when I put the glasses on.
