did you know that caffeine can be classified as a methylxanthine and can help people with bronchitis by inhibiting phosphodiesterase, therefore increasing cyclic-amp and later relaxing smooth muscles with a net effect of bronchodilation???
I guess when it's put it in those terms, it really does sound like an actual drug eh?! --Joanne :P |

All of you "I haven't had coffee in such and such a time" people make it sound like it's some sort of debilitating evil dependency.
I can go with or without.... I happen to enjoy my coffee! I mean I don't drink coffee to wake up so much as because I simply enjoy it. |

For some (me included) it actually is. A lot of people can testify to that. |

A lot of more favorable research it out there for green tea, and although it contains caffiene, it's not as much as coffee, and the health benefits of it are better than that of coffee (anti oxidants!) So if you can't give up caffiene completely, try to limit coffee and drink more stuff like green teas. It's especially good if you're trying to lose weight because you don't add cream and sugar to green tea, just drink it straight up, yo. |

i cut out caffeine (except for occasional can of coke) at 17.
sleep deprivation is much easier to handle and much more useful. you can feel refreshed on 4hours of naps. you can change your sleep cycles much easier. huge reduction in feeling run down or zombied. |

1 espresso shot has less caffeine than a cup of black tea and that you would need to drink 7 shots to equal the amount of caffeine that is in one cup of light coffee. But yes, caffine is a drug. |
