Saturday: Student & Teacher March!!!

tomorrow (saturday, jan 12th) all B.C. students and teachers are invited to march from canada place to the vancouver art gallery.

the march begins at 10:30 am, and is expected to continue on past 12:30 or so with speaches, singers and other presenters outside the art gallery.

as students, if you have any opinions on the state of education in the province or its future, come show your support.

as a teacher, i will be there with my mom and dad (both teachers aswell).

i would love to answere any questions about the teachers dispute as best as i can~ so ask away if you want.

hope to see some of you there!!!!!

a little aside:
university students, you may also want to start speaking up since tuition is about to jump at least 60% per year.............. however, funding to universities and colleges has been frozen!!!!!! so higher tuition will only serve to pay for corporate tax cuts.

...yes, I'm so worried about my tuition going up.

I also think that if you're in highschool and planning on attending any post secondary institution, you should get yourself involved in campaigns for this sort of thing.

Wonderful corporate tax cuts, it makes me laugh and wonder why we were naieve enough to elect a liberal government?
