try using organic products like aveda, mop or axis
If you have a bit to spend... -clarifying shampoo (strips the hair of all yuckie deposits from salt + minerals) use that once ever two weeks -shampoo for thin hair -a light every day conditioner If you use a deep conditioner every day it will make ur hair even dryer as they have protein in them -deep conditioner (use this after the clarifying treatment) and if you have time leave the conditioner in and put a bag around ur hair and blow dry it, then leave it for 15 mins or so. If you get all these, the clarifying shampoo and the deep cond. should last quite a while and so should the normal shampoo and cond if you dont use gallons every time... If you dont have alot of money to spend... try just grabbing a shampoo and conditioner meant for dry damaged hair... but in my best advice get an organic one like i said above... its well worth it (this is coming from a girl with dry, frizzy over dyed hair... once i switched, i totally felt the difference) I use Axis "pure" conditioner and tea tree shampoo :) Try to steer clear of drug store shampoos, or ones with lots of parfume in em... they may make ur hair feel hella soft for the first few days but the excitement wears off quickly TRUST ME! Use shampoos and conditioners from salons... When hair is dry, it's because there are peices missing from it. Salon conditioners restore hair, while cheaper products just use filler. If you don't use a salon product and straighten your hair, after a while, you'll see a build up on the plates. That's the filler coming out of your hair, which could leave it dry.
Curley hair: Sexy cerley hair Straight hair: Sexy straight hair Also, try and leave the conditioner in for a minute or two when washing your hair.. Soap up or shave with it in or something. Their styling products are really good, plus they smell really yummy. :) Last edited by Cranke65; Mar 11, 05 at 06:11 PM. |

This sounds absolutely disgusting, but, if you do the same deep conditioning treatment that was first mentioned with mayonnaise instead of conditioner your hair will never feel softer. I swear by this, I do it once every month or so and it works WONDERS and does more than any other treatments Ive tried.

My friend works at a salon, and she told me all about salon shampoo and conditioners. I tried them, and they DO make a difference. My crappy asian hair became easier to manage.
I don't think there's anything wrong with guys wanting to make their hair better. Make it great now before it falls off :( (if it does). |

Look out for shampoos that are for thin hair. Some of them just add extra crap to your hair. If you hair is really dry, you've gotta suck it up and use a really good, moisturizing shampoo & conditioner. Try Bed Head Dumb Blonde. It's one of the best moisturizers on the market (according to my hairdresser). Also try Paul Mitchell Super Skinny Serum (apply after shampoo and conditioner and before blow- or air-drying. It'll add extra moisture without being to oily/heavy. I guess the shampoo is kind of a girlie product (smell-wise) but... Seriously worth it. Just wear more cologne to camo?
*And if you haven't already, GET A TRIM to snip off those split ends! |

i'd say goto you're local hair salon and pick up..
"Sexy hair" collection... - get the soy based shampoo and conditioner.. i will find out what its called exactly... get a hair mask.. (it comes in a bigger thing then palmade...) just when you're putting conditioner in you're hair.. mix the mask in with the conditioner... leave it in for alittle bit.. i'd say about 5 mins.. then rinse it off.. since you're hair is dry it will help out.. i wouldnt use it alot.. in my opinion, but yeah. also.. if you don't know what to do.. goto you're hair salon and they should help you out... |

no conditioners going to fdix whatrever you have now
you need to trim off all the split ends and such, then you're set for whatrever you were doing before. it's just the ends that are probably looking like shit, once you get rid of those you have a clean slate too work with. do a regulara conditioning after you get the cut and you'd be all set. |

More than likely Mateo's roots are in fine shape and the strands are what are damaged/dry. He still needs a good trimming, and maybe the Paul Mitchell, or better yet, the Bain de Terre will work some magic for him :) |

So, obviously there are a lot of good products..
But using the same products for a while, no matter how good they are at the beginning, they'll only diminish in quality after your hair has absorbed all the goodness out of that particular brand. You've gotta switch it up once in a while so your hair gets a wider variety of moisturizers;P Good luck..hot hair makes a world of difference* |

My girlfriend, reading over my shoulder, says to tell you that this stuff rocks for texturizing thinner hair, and not to use any thickening shampoos or conditioner 'cause they will leave residue and damage your hair even more.
