Anyone take intro level courses for Adobe Photoshop and Quark Express at BCIT? Is it worth to take those courses and not complete a program? How's the instruction? Would i be better off saving my money and self-teaching?

I'm debating on doing this course too ( photoshop ). I could just get a book.
But it'll probably join the other ones on the shelf:(

I have herd good things about the phtoshop course at BCIT ( MDIA 1170 ). Some fiends of mine have taken it.

check out some photoshop/quark tutorials online too. actually doing the stuff is one of the best ways to learn.

i had to take both for my program
for me, ps was a waste of time
quark was good
it totally depends on your instructor though
if you get carol or mak for ps i would suggest dropping out and taking it when someone else is teaching.
if you get randy for quark, hes awesome

if you already have basic knowledge
i would suggest using online tutorials or buying a book or 2
photoshop classroom in a book is what we used..
id say buy that over taking the class.
it all depends how you learn too
personally i learn by doing so no amount of instruction could help me lol :p
