Woman Finds Human Finger in Fast-Food Chili
Woman Finds Human Finger in Fast-Food Chili
Thursday, March 24, 2005 SAN JOSE, Calif. — A woman's meal at a Wendy's restaurant brought a whole new meaning to the term "finger food." The woman bit into a portion of a human finger while eating a bowl of chili Tuesday night at the San Jose restaurant, Santa Clara County health officials said Wednesday. The woman, who asked officials not to identify her, immediately spit out the finger and warned other diners to stop eating, witnesses said. "Initially she did put this object in her mouth and did bite down on it and wasn't sure exactly what it was," Santa Clara County Health Officer Dr. Martin Fenstersheib (search) said at a news conference. "She's doing OK. Initially she was a bit grossed out as it was described to me, and vomited a number of times." Fenstersheib said the finger had been cooked at a high enough temperature to kill any viruses. Officials said the fingertip was approximately 1 3/8-inches long, and a half-inch piece of fingernail was also found. They believe it belongs to a woman because of the long, manicured nail. |

Blech that's effin disgusting.
I'm thinking it got in the chilli after they had an accident making it, and since it'd be too expensive to discard however much chilli there was, they just went through with it? Haha I dunno. But after working at Silvercity, I know a lot of things are still sold that shouldn't be. |

Its bad enough that the chilly meat is made from meat that can't be served on burgers cause their to burnt, yet we can boil them and cut them up in pieces and use that as the chilly meat. Haha bet ya never knew that. You eat meat that wendy's can't serve on burgers haha.
but ya thats nasty ass shit. I'm so glad i don't work there anymore, imagine the rep i would get from friends. |

hahahahahha that's pro. reminds me of that part of CKY when they go to a restaurant and order soup, they take a huge bag of dogshit in with them, put the dogshit into the soup and then call the waitress over and tell her there's a bunch of dogshit in their soups! hahah "I'm positive the soup wasn't like that when I served it.. " "sure it was idiot! this is fuckin disgusting!"
my memory is a bit shoddy i'm pretty sure that was from CKY2K |

And yet another reason not to eat fast food
So the most disgusting thing happened. Apparently at a Wendys Resturaunt close to San Jose....Im soo fucking glad I dont eat fast food.
***A diner bit into a segment of human finger while digging into a bowl of chili at a San Jose Wendy's restaurant Tuesday night, Santa Clara County health officials said today. The woman, who asked officials not to name or even describe her, spit out the well-cooked digit and reportedly warned other diners to stop eating. She then became sick to her stomach.*** ***The finger was described by Santa Clara County Medical Examiner Dr. Joseph P. O'Hara as cooked but not decomposed. The finger was found in two pieces, a one and three-eighths inch long fingertip complete with the skin whorls used in fingerprinting, and a half-inch long piece of fingernail. The joint appeared to have been torn off, possibly by manufacturing machinery, rather than cleanly cut. Because of its slightly longer than average length and neat grooming, it may have belonged to a woman, O'Hara said....*** |

this kind of thing doesn't just happen at fast food restaurants, it happens at other places too. it's kind of a risk you take when you go out to eat. gross, but not commonplace. i mean, how many people does wendy's serve a year that don't get pieces of finger in their food?

yeah for sure, especially when you consider the number of meals wendy's serves compared to a much smaller restaurant. based on those numbers alone, wendy's is bound to have more cases of this kind of thing. you're taking all wendy's across north america and comparing them to one local restaurant. but yeah, i see what you're saying.
