Kraig's WMC Review

Holy shit... what a WICKED time down in beautiful South Beach, Miami! The WMC was an awesome time which gave Azim, Ami, Savio and myself a ton of opportunity to meet new and old talent along with various agency and record label conacts as well. Here was the parties I attended:

Monday, March 21st - Robbie Rivera's Juicy Music Party
w/Robbie Rivera, Benny Benassi, Antoine Clamaran and more!
-- Chatted with Benny here and he is pumped to play Vancouver TONIGHT!

Tuesday. March 22nd
Magic Sessions and Soulfuric Records Party
In the main room = Little Louie Vega, Tony Humphries and more
In the upstairs room (this is where Christian Alvarez and I spent most of our time.) -- w/Brian Tappert, John Julius Night, Jask, Ron Carroll, Grant Nelson, Sheldon Prince and more...
-- Tuna you would have died to be at this show. Wicked tunes all night long. Brian Tappert of course was sick but who REALLY impressed me and in my opinion who played better, Jask owned that room.

Wednesday, March 23rd
Defected invite only Pool-side Party:
-- It just doesn't get better then this. Chillin/tanning with a bar beside the pool while in the background peeps like Blaze, Kenny Dope and Dimitri from Paris were playing.. Well at least until the freak thundershower hit! - DOH!
-- This also gave me an opportunity to meet a TON of peeps from various record labels and a TON of other DJ's who attended - Axwell, Steve Angello, Antoine and a shit load more.

Mix Masters event:
Although this was an all-ages rave-type event with a 21+ drinking area, I couldn't help but check out the line-up... here is why:.
- Q-Bert, Z-Trip, Jazzy Jeff, The new X-Men, I-Emerge (2004 World DMC Champ) and a TON more.
-- Highlight of this night for me... I-Emerge has some WICKED skills behind the decks. Q of course was awesome and Z rocked it as well. But the real highlight was when Z grabbed the mic and announced he and Q were going to do a freestyle battle!!! -- ZTrip vs. Q-Bert! -- This was INSANE!

Thursday, March 24th
In tha Mix - In-stereo, Blow Media, Eyezcream Recordings
-- This by far was one of the best parties of the trip. Rollin up VIP and partying with some of the biggest names in House music production. What a wicked time to network. Hatiras, Christian and I were hammered taking pics of hawt girls and then swapping them at the end of the night! Christian and I had a blast here!

Line-up of DJ's here = Axwell, Dj Dan, Donald Glaude, Steven Smooth vs. JJ Flores, Hatiras, Kid Massive, Dave Armstrong, Pedro and more. -- All of which were at a crazy-pimp club!

All of these wicked shows in combination with spending at least 3-4 hours at the beach everyday led to an awesome trip!

WMC 2006 here I come! ;)

i didn't even know you were down there.. crazy. miami was insane as usual... got all sorts of fun stories about people having guns pulled on them, jumping on the hoods of cabs, peeing in bathtubs, etc. out of control..

highlights for me were birdy nam nam from france at mix masters, and killa kela sharing mic time with poor lil kelly osbourne who made an ass of herself
