I know very little about it, but I got to watch the Euro cup when I was in Europe last summer and it was brilliant. I was in Ibiza when England got knocked out, not to be a party pooper but it was great. For the previous few nights I couldn't walk down the street without a crowd of red jersies yelling ROOOOOOOOOOOOOONEY! It finally shut them up :) Eurocup was awesome though, I enjoyed watching the games every night.

Lol.. I remember England losing to Portugal in Euro 2004...
If I'm not mistaken, I invited someone over to watch the game, which I'd taped cuz I was at work. She told me she couldn't make it, then (not realizing what game I'd been talking about, I guess) told me "Oh so you must be upset that england lost" NOOOOO THAT WAS THE GAME I TAPED WHY DID YOU JUST TELL ME WHAT HAPPENED ARRRGH. So yeah I didn't bother watching that tape. Saw the highlights though. Looked sucky =( |

24 June :: Portugal - England 2-2 (6-5)
In one of the most entertaining games of Euro 2004, Portugal defeated England on penalties after drawing 2-2. England started off in an offensive manner with Owen opening the score early in the 3rd minute. Both teams played direct football creating many scoring opportunities. Portugal continued to press forward but it wasn't until the 83rd minute that Simao's cross from the left met the unmarked Postiga who sent the equaliser flying into the net off his shoulder. In the second overtime period both teams exchanged a goal forming the final 2-2. At the penalty shootout, David Beckham missed his second penalty of the tournament punting the ball wide and high from the goal. Another miss by Vassell and a cool finish by Portuguese keeper Ricardo sealed the final 6-5 in favor of the hosts. Q: If you are coach Sven Goran-Eriksson, and you are in a crucial game in the late stages of the World Cup, and it comes down to penalty kicks... Do you choose David Beckham as one of your penalty kick takers? A: NO NO NO FOR GOD'S SAKE NO. Rooney Lampard J. Cole Owen Terry or Gerrard Last edited by Grapes; Mar 27, 05 at 01:31 PM. |

mocking the scots is like mocking the grizzles, good work
England have only made it to the final once and won with a controversial goal so i'm not sure what your soo proud of. I'd rather have a team of heart then shitty over-rated hooligans with the worst fans in the world.. please buy a dave seaman jersey You can take our lives, but you'll never take our freedom |

I'll stop mocking the Scots only because I can't possibly do any worse by them than you did comparing them to the Grizzlies. What I'm soooo proud of is my history and background. My mom was born in London. And I'm excited about England's chances this year, as I should be given the team they've assembled. What part of this are you having trouble with? |

I must say Irish fans in an Irish pub are the best in so many ways. If only they had Owen and Bekham Id be a 99% go over England lol. Otherwise if I dont make it to Germany in 2006 ill be in Brazil!!! |
