most powerful factory mustang ever
Ford Shelby Cobra GT500 on sale in 2006

Problem is by the time most 20-somethings can afford one of these 450 HP beasts, you won't want one. It just won't interest you and you'll want something sensible.
The solution is to just get the cash somehow and buy it, forget about that condo or next month's rent. Just get out there and burn rubber and give the fuzz something to point the radar at. |

finally something from Ford worth driving and actually looks pretty good. i'm still not a big fan of what they have done to the front end (body wise). that car better live up to the name of the Shelby GT 500 and not just be another "upgraded" one. this month's Road and Track mag does a cover story on the 05 Mustangs. Apparently the GT-R concept was put together by Ford and Saleen, now that'd be sweet to see.

a base 2004 svt cobra coupe went for $35K USD. this one w/ a shelby name plate, i am guessing low to mid-$40K USD base. -- ok, just read the current issue of road & track apparently that shelby cobra gt500 is $147K USD. Last edited by stephen_c; Mar 30, 05 at 08:19 PM. |

I think that the new mustang is the ugliest piece of shit on the road...for that matter...they've been pretty tacky and chunky for years now..
If I ever drive that toy laugh at me really hard. It's got power, but no style..I don't like the way they took the old and blended it with the new without paying attention to detail. They should have a few sharper lines on it if they're going for the oldschool look. It looks like a boat. |

I agree with lou_belle... I like the 79-88 4 Eyed Mustangs. Kinda biased as I own one, but they look meaner imo. Then they got fugly as shit after that... not until 2000 - 2004 did I find the body style appealing. Of course the good ol' 64 1/2 still is a beaut...
