I might dump both my wired phone and Telus cell and get a Fido $25 or $30 plan. Most of my long-duration calls are incoming and one of those plans has unlimited incoming.
Rogers bought Fido and Rogers has a good cell tower infrastructure system, better than Fido. I think I saw that for an extra $5 a month Fido users can use the Rogers system which could be good if you live in a bad Fido-coverage area. They are both GSM technology so are compatible. I bet Rogers will be merging the tower systems anyway because it's cheaper for them to run one tower system than two, so maybe in a year Fido users will automatically get switched to the Rogers/Cantel tower system.
So I'd be checkin out the Fido Unlimited Incoming Pkg at $25 and the unlimited evening after 5pm/weekend pkg at $30.

My Telus cell plan is ending in a few weeks and they're trying to get me to sign up again, but they're not offering anything good at all, a hundred bucks off a new phone, big deal. Very stupid of them, I've been their ideal customer and they tell me I'll be losing the per second billing and go to per minute like everyone else.
The cell companies should let you "bank" your unused minutes.
