Wow, holy shit, and oh-my-fucking-god! I just had one of THE greatest phone calls of my life!!!! :2step:
This lady from Oak Bay Beach Hotel (a beautiful older hotel here in Vic) saw my resume on victoriajobshop.ca and so she called me to schedule an interview for tomorrow!!!!!! And I have my choice of 2 jobs, front desk or food and beverage server.
I am just totally amazed and excited! I didn't even have to LOOK for this job interview, it just kinda jumped up and bonked me in the face! This could not have come at a better time!! (I am so broke.. heh)
Yay for me!!! woohoo *happy dance*

well.... i would say if u go for reception, thats means u got your foot in office jobs in future...(jobs such as 9-5)... office jobs have a possibility of future career!

servers, however, make tips and make more money! which is personally not a career choice for me...

Well, my last job I was working front desk (housekeeping before that) and I also have serving experience.
So for me it mostly depends on the hours and pay.. I'll have to catch at least 1 or 2 buses to get there (depends on if I can get a ride into town from one of my rents, hehe).
No partyin hard for me tonight, however I will hopefully still be comin out just not drinkin (ok, maybe 1 or 2 drinks but that is all). Gotta find a friends place to stay at so I don't have to do alot of commuting.

I was in the dining room of that hotel once.

It was full of old people, just about everyone was over 70. Not that I'm complaining.

My interview went very well today, it was just a preliminary one. They are hiring for a total of 4 positions and they are all positions that I have experience in (2 front desk, housekeeping and server) so that totally ups my chances of getting this job. I should be getting a call back within the next few days for my second interview.
And it only takes 35 mins to drive there from my house.. now if only I had my liscence and a car! lol

Yeah, when me and my mom drove there today we oggled all the big beautiful houses. And the ocean view in that neighborhood is off the hook! So god damn gorgeous, especially on a bee-you-tee-ful day like today!!

That is one of the best places in Canada to live because you get the clean ocean air and more sun than in Vancouver area.

I had a contract job for a while once at CFB Esquimalt -nice views of the ocean - looks bluer than from most places in Vancouver for some reason.

When I was in the hotel it was high tea and I was on a blind date. :)
