Adobe buys Macromedia in 3.4$ billion Stock deal!
Major software rivals team together to fight new 'media line' software bundled with the next Windows OS release. Adobe, creators of software you most likely use (including; Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat, ect) have bought up Macromedia (creators of; Dreamweaver, Flash, plus a slew of other design based applications) in hopes of cornering the interactive design market against Microsoft. As much as this may come as a careless merge to most, believe me it will have drastic effect on the future of online production both in website and animation.

My company has HUGE licensing involved with both Macromedia and Adobe... I wonder how it will affect us in the long run?

speakin of adobe... illustrator and photoshop cs 2 just got released recently..pretty excited. im really curious if one day ill actually buy a software.

(say no to quark!). they need to make a flash for dummies for me.. can't seem to understand it :( |
