I saw a rather catatonic looking Vendor for 24Hrs at Scott Road Station. Just standing there with a blank look on her face with a Newspaper in her extended hand. People were walking around her I think mainly because she looked Dead or Crazy...

i like how they had to install big yellow newspaper recycling bins at the skytrain stations now.

I politely decline hoping that the next day they won't be there... I get hit up on my way to Granville, on the corner of Granville and Broadway, on the next corner, at my bus stop, as soon as I get off the bus at Commercial, in Commercial skytrain station and finally at Brentwood. Times that by 3 different papers and sometimes multiple people pushing the same one and it can be even higher!

It's such a waste of paper. I wonder if the Translink even recycles what's put in those bins, or if they just toss it.

wtf..every day i get off my bus and its like there employing bums off the street to do it for jobs....good i guess if thats the case but leave me alone! its like cause i look young they always go to me..and you can only be so nice but every corner you find you get a little more stabby about it...way too early for that shit id rather deal with the change question...thanks ill buy a paper if i want one that badly..

Metro is like if you took the Province and removed its smarts, entertainment and insight. Yes, you read that sentence correctly. Basically someone is going to google news and pulling every 2nd article, then running them through a newspaper layout program.

Has anyone seen the stickers people are now putting on the 'newspaper dispensers' for all those shitty papers, saying 'CRAP' and ' WAIST OF PAPER', etc?
