Do you love your Fido or Rogers cell?

I just got a new Fido cell and not sure I wanna keep it, I have a few days to exchange it for another model.

It's a Sony Ericsson T610, small, lots of features, not a flip-phone. It's cool but a little clumsy to operate. And I'm not sure if the reception is as good as other phones (audio is good but it dropped calls in outlying areas like Harrison Hot Springs & Cultus Lake).

BTW I was told my new cell is running on the Rogers network which is better than the Fido network which is being swapped over. The old Fido network doesn't have any coverage of those places, I believe.

I took my Telus cell to these places for comparisons and def Telus has better coverage than Rogers/Fido, excellent everywhere, but all the networks are good within a few miles of my house which is where I'll be using the phone 99% of time. So I'm switching because of the better Fido plans.

Alternative phones I might try are the Nokia 3100B, Motorola V180 and V400. With a plan they cost $0, $50 and $100 respectively. Reading reviews on epinions.com, it looks like all cell phones have flaws of one type or another.

So do you have a current-model Fido or Rogers phone you like a lot?

I've got the Siemens M55... It does the job and you can get the Camera attachment for it. I've never really had any reception problems except at 4/20 when the cells were overloaded with calls. lol

As it turns out I'm not on the Rogers network so that's why cell didn't work too good in the boonies. Trying to get situation fixed.

I only got a day's light useage of the phone, maybe 1 hour talk-time and battery needs recharging already, and Sony claims 5 hours TT.

I have the M55 and I fucking love it...

tho.. I did like dl a shit load of things to it.. so it's not like everyone elses.

and its been through fucking hell.. right now it doesnt have a backing thanx to my drunk ass. let alone I get a lot of service where most ppl dont...

i recently switched from fido to telus.
such a difference. with fido is used to drop calls all the time. plus I had a shit motorola phone. Now I have an lg camera phone (which i never use) and it suits me just fine.

mmmm I have fido motorolla flip phone... a little more than a year old... as far as reception goes.... its done just fine by me.... but every once and a while you find one of those no service spaces... like two short spans in particular on the number 10 hwy I always know if im talking to somone while driving through im gonna lose them.... but other than that I havent had any problems...and the price of the plan was def. worth the switch from telus... I have no regrets.

I love my phone. It's the Motorola T720 with Rogers and when it's time for a new phone/contract renewal this summer I will hafta upgrade, but for now this funky li'l phone with some added flair is what I proudly rock! *this model not available in stores
