I connected the internet..no cables.
So anywhoo...this was about two minutes ago...when I was surfing around and was chatting with people through an internet connection that was unplugged. I sent a message to Tim while it was unlpugged.

My only explanation is that because I had forgotten I unplugged the cable...my positive energy made a leap from my computer to the cable modem.

When I realized I had actually unplugged the cable..the connection was lost and it said immediately it could not find the server.

I AM THE SERVER!

I mean..I know I'm psychic...but this..

my g4 ibook has wireless built in, and if i lose my network connection, it will join a wireless. maybe that's what happened.

msn stays open for a while once your connection is down. It doesn't detect it until a few seconds after. I think that would go for AIM too.
