I have a Creative Zen Jukebox and have had it for about 2 years. The headphone jack problem happened to me once while it was still under warranty. I took it back to A&B sound and they fixed it no questions asked, I had it back in under 2 weeks.
Then the problem came back when it wasn't under warranty so I took it to A&B sound and they told me that since it's not under warranty I'd have to take it to the people that do the repairs for them. I took it to a company named Eltek that's located on Renfrew. They fixed it in under a week and it cost me about $50.
The guy at Eltek said it's a common problem with a lot of portables (not just creative) because they aren't putting the main board through the headphone jack, they're just attaching the jack to the top of the board. This makes sense cause the same problem happened to a cheap Panasonic MP3 CD player I have. I didn't bother to pay to get it repaired cause I figured the repair cost would be about the same price as the player cost.
What Eltek did was glue my headphone jack to the main board instead of just attaching it. He said that this would keep it in place a lot better, the only problem was if it comes undone after being glued, its a lot harder to fix.
The headphone jack has been a real bitch but other than that I'm very satisfied with the Creative Jukebox Zen. When I bought it when it was $399 and 20gig ipods were $599. I wasn't willing to pay $200 for a slightly smaller unit and the apple interface (i fucking hate that font). If the headphone jack holds now, I'll still be happy with my purchase, if it breaks again... It probably wasn't worth buying.
