I just got back from throwing my vote away. I went for the Turd Sandwich, but was really torn between that and the Giant Douche. |

For all those who voted NDP today:
http://archives.cbc.ca/300c.asp?id=1-73-1637 next time, take a long hard look at the history of the party you vote for. Voting for a party just because "They're Not the Liberals" isn't an excuse. Don't get me wrong. Gordo is the anti-christ, but he's not stealing money from charities and then somehow staying in power. |

Bottom line.. the old cliche, absolute power corrupts absolutely. There's no telling what trouble the Liberals would've got themselves into over the next 4 years if they'd been given the kind of mandate they had last election. I'm glad they've been checked somewhat this time around. |

I don't see how that's democracy. Nor how any riding that wins by a dozen votes has one voice, and one voice that will almost always follow party lines. |

The thing I've noticed about this election is that, it seems its not about who's best to lead but who's not the worst to lead. People still hate the NDP for the Clarke era and people hate the liberals for the last 4 years. The way the seats are going, it seems like the people haven't forgotten about the NDP's last 4 years, but are still wary about going with a 77 seat liberal majority government...
Man, I fucking hate majority governments. It wouldn't be so bad if there were more non partisan politicians. |
