Farewell Reggie Miller.
What a career and what a player. Growing up he was my idol as basketball was my first love in sports. Too bad he didn't win a championship but its nice to see players like him stay on a team his whole career and didnt jump ship and take a huge paycut to a stacked team like gay players such malone and payton to try and win a cheap championship. good thing for is that the lakers got wooped last year. Goodbye Reggie and i will surely miss watching you play.

But lets be honest here even with Artest the the pacers would not of won. I mean their chances definatly would of been alot better but nah. But hey i guess its something we will never know rite. It defaintly made his last season alot worse, but still my hat goes off the the Pacers this year. They went trhoguh so much and still amde 6th seat, beat Boston and took Detroit to 6 games. HOnestly i think their coach deserved coach of the year over the Sun's coach. Do not tell me if the Suns lost Marion for the entire season and with amare suspended for 15games that they would of made the playoffs and went into the 2nd round.

but i do not agreeon the fact that without marion and without stoudamire for 15 games that phoenix wouldn't have made the playoff's. not sure about the second round but i think they still would have made the playoff's. Maybe not in the #1 seed |

no guarantee that artest would have made the difference, but having the best defender in the nba would have helped. i mean it's not like rip or chauncy were shooting like crazy, so artest could have been the difference. especially since indy needed all the offence they could muster.
imo the coach of the year should have been nate mcmillan. when your offseason acquisitions are danny fortson, you are the coach of the year. edit: if artest had 10-15pts/game that easily could have been the difference, seeing how both teams had unbelievably weak ass stretches of shooting. honestly though, i was surprised indy even stole 2 games. after game 1 it looked like a sweep for sure. Nate isn't exactly my first pick for coach of the year however that would still make alot more sense then the sun's coach. Personally i wasn't surprised indy stole 2 games at all. but meh whatever the series is over and im enjoying some great playoffs this year. and damn when was the last time we saw #1and #2 seats from the East and West in the conference finals. Should be some goood balling. |

San Antonio vs Phoenix - I think San Antonio can rip them apart and will definatly win. Suns was #1 in points given up and unlike Memphis and Dallas the Spurs will definatly take advantage of that. Detroi vs Miami = I wish i could make up my mind on this. Miami can easily beat Detroit vice versa. It can really just go both ways but im going to have to go with Detroit on this. They've defending champs, awesome defence, they've already handled the test of Kobe/Shaq combo so they have faced bid daddy before. Not gonan go too deep into these predictions but simply said Detroit will win. Last edited by e_BoY; May 23, 05 at 05:10 AM. |
