I guarantee you your sandwiches will get better...
If you only invested in a toaster oven.
Just build your sandwich, throw it in until your sandwich is lightly browned on the bread... huzzah! Cheese is melted, a little bit of heat added to your meat, a bit of crispness to your edges and your sandwich won't fall apart so easily.
Here's a neat quick EASY recipe if you want a solid breakfast:
throw some butter on a frying pan. When it melts a nice thin layer over the pan, throw an egg on. While it's cooking, load up two slices of bread. One side with cheddar cheese, one side with Garlic cream cheese.
Once that's finished, get back to your frying pan. By now your egg should be a decent sunny-side up. Get your spatula at the ready (if you're missing one you can always hit up SPATULA CITY!), get the egg on the compact side and flip her to make it over easy.
Let it cook. The yolk is okay to get all hardened, you don't want a messy sammich.
Once it's all done on both sides, throw the egg on the side with the cheese, close up with the garlic cream cheese side, chuck the whole thing in the toaster until the bread is slightly browned.
Throw in a glass of juice and you have a full-fledged breakfast for under $.50
